This site is a tribute to Mary Rose Myrtle. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Mary Rose loved people and animals. She was kind and inquisitive and always wanted to hear other people's stories. She was compassionate and thoughtful. She made it her priority to get to know everyone wherever she went. Even in her last days she was always thinking and worrying about others. She was generous and had the best laugh. Her sense of humour and determination of character was with her until the end.

Donations can be made to  The Sue Ryder Palliative Care team who supported mum and us during her final 7 weeks at home. Or to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who mum supported due to her love of animals. 

Afterglow


I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
